We are excited to announce the launch of FESY’s latest initiative, the Organic Poultry Farming Project, in collaboration with Yielder, ROAM, and supported by FiBL. This groundbreaking project is set to transform the agricultural landscape in Muhanga and Gakenke Districts by equipping 1,050 farmers with essential skills in organic poultry farming.
Empowering Farmers with Knowledge and Technology
The project aims to empower farmers by providing them with comprehensive training in organic poultry farming. Leveraging a blended learning approach, the training will combine digital tools and in-person sessions led by local trainers. Each trainer will be equipped with tablets, internet access, and fully translated materials in Kinyarwanda, ensuring the content is both accessible and easy to understand for all participants.
Project Objectives
- Training of Trainers (ToTs): Seven trainers will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to train 1,050 farmers in Muhanga and Gakenke Districts.
- Improving Agricultural Practices: The project aims to significantly boost the knowledge and practical skills of local farmers in organic poultry farming, enhancing both productivity and sustainability.
With this innovative approach, we aim to not only improve farming practices but also drive economic growth and sustainability in these districts. Stay tuned for updates on the progress and impact of this exciting new project!
